How a DRAFTNIGHT.tv Draft Works
A DRAFTNIGHT.tv draft moves through four main stages: league setup, room setup, the live draft, and the completed draft recap.
1. Create the league
The host creates a league from the DRAFTNIGHT.tv dashboard.
During setup, the host configures:
- League name and logo
- League format
- ADP scoring format
- Roster configuration
- Team names, colors, and logos
- Keeper assignments, when applicable
- Draft format and pick order
- Pick timer
- Soundboard and room audio settings
After setup is complete, the league appears on the host’s dashboard.
2. Launch the draft room
When draft night arrives, the host selects Launch Draft beside the league.
DRAFTNIGHT.tv creates a six-character room code and opens the TV lobby. Team owners can join by scanning the QR code or visiting the join page and entering the room code.
Each owner then claims their assigned fantasy team.
3. Prepare the lobby
Before the draft can begin:
- Every team must be claimed.
- One joined team owner must be assigned as commissioner.
- The TV display must remain connected to the room.
The host assigns the commissioner by selecting the crown beside a joined team on the TV lobby.
When everyone is ready, the host selects Start Draft from the TV display.
4. Run the draft
The league introduction plays first. When the introduction ends, the phone controllers unlock and the first team goes on the clock.
The active team can:
- Search available players
- Filter players by position
- Sort players by rank or name
- Open the Best Available view
- Review its current roster
- Confirm and submit a pick
If the pick timer expires, DRAFTNIGHT.tv automatically submits a best-available selection.
5. Manage the room
The assigned commissioner receives live draft controls on their phone.
The commissioner can:
- Pause or resume the draft
- Undo the most recent non-keeper pick
- Enable or disable the soundboard
- Enable or disable background music
- show the full draft board on the TV
- Return the TV to the broadcast view
- Cancel the draft
6. Complete the draft
The draft ends automatically after the final selection.
DRAFTNIGHT.tv saves the draft recap, including every team’s roster, the complete pick order, and keeper selections. The host can access the recap by selecting View Results from the dashboard.
