Create Your First League
The league setup wizard saves the settings that DRAFTNIGHT.tv will use when you launch your draft room.
Start a new league
- Sign in to DRAFTNIGHT.tv.
- Open your dashboard.
- Select Create League.
- Complete each step of the setup wizard.
- Select Create League after reviewing the final settings.
Your plan must have an available league slot before you can create and host a new league.
Step 1: League Settings
Enter the league’s name and optionally upload a league logo.
Choose the league format:
- Re-Draft
- Keeper
- Rookie Only
Select the ADP scoring format that should be used for player rankings.
For re-draft and keeper leagues, configure the roster. For rookie-only leagues, choose the number of rookie draft rounds.
Step 2: Teams
Add between 2 and 32 teams.
For each team, enter:
- Team name
- Primary team color
- Team logo, when applicable
Keeper leagues also display the keeper assignment controls.
You can add or remove teams until the team list matches your league.
Step 3: Draft Settings
Choose how the pick order will work:
- Snake
- Linear
- Custom
Set the number of rounds and select the pick timer.
Use the Pick Order editor to arrange the first round or assign every individual pick in a custom draft.
Step 4: Soundboard Settings
Configure the reactions that team owners can send from their phones.
A reaction can include a label, image or emoji, and sound. Soundboard reactions appear on the TV when used during the draft.
The soundboard can also be disabled when you do not want participants to send reactions.
Step 5: Other Settings
Choose the room audio settings, including:
- Enabling/Disabling Background music
- Enabling/Disabling Pick sound effect
- A custom pick sound, when uploaded
Review these settings before creating the league.
After creating the league
The new league appears on your dashboard.
From there, you can:
- Select Edit Settings to make changes.
- Select Launch Draft to create the live room.
- Delete the league while it is still eligible for deletion.
Creating a league does not immediately start a draft. The live room is not created until you select Launch Draft.
