Configuring Roster Positions

The roster configuration determines which positions each team must fill and, for most league formats, the default number of draft rounds.

Roster configuration is available for Re-Draft and Keeper leagues. Rookie-only leagues use a separately selected number of rounds.

Choose a roster preset

DRAFTNIGHT.tv includes two starting presets:

Standard

The default Standard roster includes:

• 1 QB
• 2 RB
• 3 WR
• 1 TE
• 1 FLEX
• 1 K
• 1 D/ST
• 6 bench spots

2QB

The 2QB preset uses the Standard roster with a second starting quarterback position.

Custom

Select Custom to adjust the number of individual roster positions.

Each position can be increased, decreased, or removed to match your fantasy league.

Choose the defensive format

DRAFTNIGHT.tv supports two defensive formats.

Team Defense

Choose Team Defense (D/ST) when entire NFL defenses are drafted as a single player.

IDP

Choose IDP when the league drafts individual defensive players.

IDP rosters can include:

• Defensive Linemen
• Linebackers
• Defensive Backs
• IDP Flex positions

Selecting IDP removes the team-defense position from the roster.

Choose the FLEX eligibility

Standard FLEX

A Standard FLEX position can be filled by the normal offensive flex positions.

Superflex

A Superflex position also allows a quarterback.

Select Superflex only when the corresponding flex spot in your fantasy league permits quarterbacks.

Set the bench size

The bench setting controls how many additional players each team drafts after filling its starting lineup.

Bench spots count toward the total draft length.

How the roster affects draft rounds

For Re-Draft and Keeper leagues, DRAFTNIGHT.tv calculates the default draft length from the total number of roster spots.

For example, a roster with 9 starters and 6 bench players creates a default 15-round draft.

The Draft Settings step allows you to review the resulting round count.

For a no-round-cost keeper league, the assigned keepers count toward the roster and reduce the number of live rounds. For a round-cost keeper league, keeper picks remain inside the configured draft order.

Choose the ADP scoring format

The ADP scoring format controls which Fantasy Football Calculator rankings DRAFTNIGHT.tv uses when sorting players.

The available ranking formats are:

• Standard
• Half PPR
• PPR
• 2QB

This setting affects player rankings and automatic picks. It does not create or manage scoring rules on your primary fantasy platform.

Verify that the roster matches the platform where your league will be managed after the draft.

DRAFTNIGHT.tv presents and records the draft, but it does not automatically change the roster rules on an outside fantasy platform.
