Launch Your Draft Room

Launching a draft creates the live room that team owners join.

Before launching

Confirm that:

  • League setup is complete.
  • Every team has been added.
  • Keeper assignments are correct.
  • Draft settings and pick ownership are correct.
  • The display computer is connected to the TV.
  • Your plan has active draft access.

Launch the room

  1. Sign in to DRAFTNIGHT.tv.
  2. Open the dashboard.
  3. Find the league.
  4. Select Launch Draft.

DRAFTNIGHT.tv creates the room and opens the TV lobby.

The lobby displays:

  • A six-character room code
  • A QR code
  • The number of joined teams
  • Each team’s claim status
  • Commissioner assignment controls
  • Start and cancel controls

Have owners join

Owners can scan the QR code or open the DRAFTNIGHT.tv join page.

After entering the room code and display name, each owner selects and confirms their fantasy team.

A claimed team cannot be selected by another owner.

Assign the commissioner

After an owner has claimed a team, a crown control appears beside that team in the TV lobby.

Select the crown to assign that owner as commissioner.

A commissioner must be assigned before a normal draft can start.

Start the draft

The Start Draft button becomes available after:

  • Every team has been claimed.
  • A commissioner has been assigned.
  • The room remains in setup status.

The draft can only be started from the host-controlled TV display.

Reconnect to an active room

If the host closes the TV page or returns to the dashboard, the league displays Reconnect instead of Launch Draft.

Select Reconnect to reopen the existing TV room. Do not create a replacement league simply because the TV browser was closed.

Cancel the room

The room can be canceled from the TV lobby or the host dashboard. During the live draft, the commissioner can also cancel it from their phone.

Canceling closes the room for every participant.

You can relaunch the league later. However, league-slot and locking rules depend on how far the draft progressed:

  • Re-Draft and Keeper leagues consume their slot when the draft reaches Round 3.
  • Rookie-only leagues consume their slot when the draft reaches Round 2.

Canceling before that point leaves the league eligible for editing and deletion. After that point, the slot remains consumed and team information remains locked.
